Sri Chinmoy Ten & Six Day Races New York 2017

The Twenty-Second Annual Sri Chinmoy Ten Day Race starts on Monday, April 17 at 12:00 noon, EDT. This race is held concurrently with the Twentieth Annual Sri Chinmoy Six Day Race which starts on Friday, April 21 at 12:00 noon, EDT. Both races end on Thursday, April 27 at 12 noon, EDT. The races were previously called The Self-Transcendence Six and Ten-Day Races.

The venue for these iconic events remains in Corona- Flushing Meadow Park in Queens, New York.

The current list of entrants is posted on the site with its strong international flavour bringing multiday celebrities back to the 10 day. World runner Jesper Olsen returns with fresh legs as does India's pioneering ultrarunner who, as I write, is starting to run the 195 km from Indore to Bhopal. Former winner Nataliya Hlushchuk also makes another visit to Queens,

In the 6 day giant of the multuday running world Finland's Ashprihanal Aalto will be up against John Geesler, Mark McCaslin and we wait with interest to see how the women's race unfolds.
