The official grand opening is May 26th, complete with a Boot Scoot & 5k Fun Run.
More on that later...
Because you want to see what it looks like inside, right?
Just as you walk in, there is a cinematic robot that greets you. Many of the exhibits have motion triggered audio and as you approach, it is already telling it's story.
There are awesome life size figures, including a longhorn and a Comanche horseman.
An amazing feature is the 168 feet mural, digitally composed together from artworks of Porfirio Salinas, one of the first widely recognized Mexican-American artists, who grew up in South Texas in the early 1900s.
Kids will enjoy interactive ranching games, lift open cases, 3 different types of saddles that visitors can actually get on top of, hands on activities and touch screen displays.
The center was so open, so vibrant and so refreshing!
Hope you can make it out. Can't wait to bring the kids back!
