It isn't very often that I fall head over heels in love (and I don't think that's a bit excessive) with a product. But the second I saw Sonia post a pic of this, it had to be mine. Luckily, it did not disappoint. In fact, it blew my expectations out of the water.
ShadesThe most gorgeous array of jewel tones. Le sigh. Anywho, on to the factual stuff. The top swatches are in natural light and the second one is with flash. The first row has three shades of purple: a lavender, amethyst and plummy shade.
Texture and PigmentI may or may not have drooled (or teared up) when I first felt the texture. They actually feel like velvet. Yes, velvet. They are smooth but not too smooth. They are very easy to blend and the shades are very pigmented. You don't need a lot of shadow on your brush to get full color.
Staying Power and PackagingThe staying power is most impressive. I can wear it all day at work and it will not budge. Keep in mind I work in a restaurant, so I get sweaty and move around a lot. No creasing or fading here. The packaging is very slim and sleek, which I love. It keeps the focus on the eyeshadows and their quality.
Price and Overall ImpressionThis palette is $16.99 and is available at Target. And you MUST get it! It has become my favorite palette (along with Sonia's Eye on Neutral palette, but that's another post) and I have a lot of palettes.
