Someone needs to have the balls on the coaching staff to stand up to ben.
He continually passes up easy flare passes or checkdowns that would easily gain 4+ yards for incompletions and INT's downfield. Go rewatch some of the vikes game it happens several times. He just ignores the back outlet pass and takes a sack. Really really makes me wonder.
I for one am very tired of it. He also could have easily ran for the 1st down on some plays too. To me he seems to have lost some of his passion. Maybe he's distraught about pouncey. But you can't fumble the ball inside the 7 like that inexusable.
I will say that our season I think would have been much different if Bell doesn't get hurt in preseason and we start the season with miller. Injuries are so frustrating - bad charma or something it seems. Notice how suddently we have a running game with Miller blocking. Why in the world do we go after spaeth. That was simply a very dumb move. for the 2nd time posting to this forum go watch a tape of SB 43 and watch how pathetic Spaeth is in blocking.
He has thrown way too many INT's. Before he was hurt last year how many did he throw maybe 5 at most?
This season already how many? Just pathetic.
SOrry I don't agree with the folks that say we need to take the bad with the good with Ben. Last year before he was hurt he was not getting sacked or throwing stupid Ints.
I will give him some kudos for bringing the team back and with a LT like adams he's doing pretty good but I think he needs to improve.
In every game he has had huge INTs that have caused either pic 6's or fumbles for a TD that have killed us. He needs to protect the ball better.
Tomlin its time to sit him down if he messes up again.
