Skincare: My Basic Combination

By Misssarahlouise

When it comes to skincare, I like to keep it simple. I find that through drinking plenty of water, and following basic skincare advice I don't go far wrong. I have a shower every evening, I prefer to shower in the evening as I like t feel clean and refreshed before bedtime. Occasionally, usually on a Sunday night I like to have a nice relaxing bath. Today I'm going to talk about both my shower and bath routines which are both very simple - enjoy.
Before getting into the shower, I spend around 5 minutes dry skin brushing, all over my body. If you haven't already, go ahead and read my post about skin brushing. Once I have done this, I jump in the shower, I like to have the water quite hot and I usually stand for a few minutes and let the water run down my back, as I feel it relieves the aches and pains I often get in my shoulders.

I then use Niveas Shower Creme, I use a medium sized blob and massage it in all over my body using a shower puff. This is like silk in a bottle, it creates a lovely lather on my skin and makes it feel smoother and nourished instantly. It's also really kind and gentle to my skin, I like this because I'm always very hesitant to use products on my skin as it's very sensitive.
Once I am out of the shower and dried. I use Vaseline' Cocoa Butter Moisturiser. I apply this all over my body and leaves my skin feeling nourished and smelling lovely. It's quite soothing on my skin and doesn't cause any irritation, unlike most body moisturisers that I have tried. To read a full review on this product, please click here.
