Skin Truth Enriching Eye Serum

By Bbeautylove @bbeautylove

You know I love a good eye cream and I am always excited to try new products designed for that area of the face. One version I hadn’t tried was the eye serum, so here are my thoughts…

Skin Truth is a salon brand that recently underwent a bit of a makeover/ re-launch  in term of products and packaging. Each product (whether skincare or body care) is classified into various categories so that each skin type gets the kind of care and ingredients most beneficial to them. Nourishing for normal to dry skin, Equalising for oily to combination, Soothing for sensitive skins and the all round goodie that is Optimise which claims to boost your skincare regime no matter what your skin type.

The Enriching Eye Serum from Skin Truth is part of the Optimise range meaning it works for all skin types. Presented in a basic but beautifully decorated bottle it contains so much good stuff I couldn’t possibly mention it all but the main draws are Vitamin E and Star Flower oil for moisturisation and Hydrolysed Oat Protein to soothe.

Considering that this is a serum, it has quite a thick consistency. Almost like a rich night cream it isn’t runny or loose and does feel very nice on the under eye area. With it being so thick, you only need the tiniest amount (barely a full pump) as too much will leave the eye area greasy and over saturated with product.

It claims to soothe and rejuvenate the eye area making it appear younger. My eyes don’t look particularly old so I couldn’t comment on that side of it but after a few weeks of using this I have found that my under eye area feels softer and more nourished and also means my under-eye concealer applies better. It sinks in very quickly and so can be used morning and night. I would say this is best for tired, dry or tight eyes that need something to help improve their condition and tone. This is gentle and non-aggressive so won’t sting or inflame the skin.

Even though I prefer eye creams that tackle darkness, I will still continue to use this as I like how it makes my skin feel and it is never too early to think about anti-ageing skincare! *sigh*
