Sean Christopher: Yonder

Posted on the 15 May 2018 by Hctf @hctf

Dutch Singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Sean Christopher has degrees from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and Codarts in Rotterdam and first made a living as a musician writing music for films and commercials. While this supplied him this with an impressive stack of trick,s he craved for the freedom to make an album of his own, breaking out of the confines of predefined formats and running times.

Yonder is a highly personal journey about intimacy, loss and love. He recorded it in his own studio in The Hague, playing all the instruments and taking care of a smattering of sound effect. His formal education as a jazz drummer provided him a wide array of different rhythms and the teachings of his a father, a flamenco guitarist, showed him the way when he got stuck trying to link the songs into a coherent collection of songs. He is a traveler with no fixed destination. Sean Christopher is always on the move, telling folk-tinged stories about his adventures, ups and downs. Recommended if you like Ray LaMontagne and Sean Rowe.

Yonder is released on Terafrost (Benelux) and Dumont Dumont (rest of the world).
