I still have to put together my resolution post, but I thought I’d save that one for tomorrow.
2012 has been quite the year, I can’t believe it’s over but I also can’t believe just how much has happened. Here’s my list of 2012, the good and the bad:
-Graduated from college
-Moved out of my college town (and back home, not sure how I feel about that one)
-Found out just how much I love the career I’m going into (and let out a big sigh of relief)
-Got a job at the department store that shall not be named (which I really enjoy)
-Rediscovered my love of library sponsored activities
-Came to terms with an embraced my nerdiness for better or worse (instead of telling myself some day I’ll be cooler)
-Had to shut down Zombie Coffee Press due to a lack of free time (but boy did I enjoy the ride!)
-Started this fantastic blog and met all my fabulous blog-y friends (or maybe I started the blog in 2011? Oh well, this is the first full year anyway).
-Went to another summer funeral (only the good die young)
-Forced to come to terms with the real world (still working on this one)
-Read more books than last year (but not as many as I wanted to, with my number stuck at 62)
-Discovered a few new cross-stitch stores and bookshops
Well, there should probably be more to the list than that but I can’t think of anything else right now, or at least nothing I can put into words at the moment. How was your 2012? Any highlights to share or things you’re hoping to avoid?
I also managed to finish another card-front this week which I’m pretty found of. This came from Cross-Stitch Collection’s Christmas 2012 issue.
The circles are supposed to be more green than yellow but I didn’t pick quite the right shade. Although I think it still looks okay. It looks a lot better in this picture than it does up close. The bottom was also supposed to be more green blue on the bottom than blue but I just decided to change things around. Overall I think it works well, although the colors in the original design seemed to flow better. Still, it turned out better than I thought as I was watching it come together. Need 4 more cards to meet my goal but since the Christmas season isn’t over until Jan15th for epiphany so I have a little more time to get things finished up.
Anyone else working to finish last minute Christmas crafts?
