About the product:
No more over-the-counter hair oil that attracts more flies than attention! When creating this hair oil cake, we explored all the available traditional herbs that our grandmothers used to keep their hair lustrous. After months of research we made this magical concoction. With its Amala Extracts this exotic oil promises to moisturize dry and dull hair by nourishing each strand with oodles of Vitamin C. Select herbs like Amla, Moringa and Aloe Vera are blended with ingredients like Loha Bhasma that add strength and resistance to those locks. To buff up that beautiful hair color we’ve added Brahmi, which also makes hair thicker and fuller. After your oil massage you can be sure that hair is ready-to-go as the Avocado Oil stirred in guarantees to protect your hair from sun and soil. With more than twenty herbs to its name the list of benefits go on and on, but we can assure you that this concoction is definitely for the 21st century Champi!

My Take: When I first saw this I was a bit confused on why it is in a solid form but it was way too cool to scoop a bit of it for every use. I take a peanut size amount onto my palms and rub my hands together to make them warm. That temperature is enough to make the oil melt in my palms. I apply directly to my scalp and massage gently. I keep it on for an hour before taking a head bath. The smell is strong. It is totally a herbal scent but a bit strong. If you do not mind the smell, then it is just so good to use. Unlike the other oils, this oil is very thick. Thicker than the castor oil(It is one oil which my mom used to apply when I was in school). But warming it makes it easy to apply. If you warm it on a double boiler makes the whole process even easier and less messy. It does take two washes to remove the oil completely from the hair. I know it sounds like a tedious process but the after effects are great.
My hair is shinier and lustrous to look at. It feels smooth and silky when I touch it. It smells good. It looks full and healthy with volume. The effects stay on for about two days after the hair wash. The next wash I do not apply the oil but still feel the same for two more days. For the third wash I would repeat the process. Which means, I apply this oil twice a week and have great hair the whole week Pros:
Less Hairfall
Hair looks healthier and shinier.
My fine hair looks thick with good volume.
Suits all hair types.
Quantity is good enough for the price as it comes for at least 6 months for Medium length hair.
Cons:
Availability can be an issue as this is available only online and at their store in Bangalore.
During summer, the oil tend to liquefy so carrying around will be difficult.
The essential oil smell may be overpowering to the sensitive noses.
Final Words:
The product minus the strong smell is just too great. It works well on my oily fine hair. I somehow feel that this can be a great savior for people with dry hair/scalp. Use it and thank me later . The brand is not new to me and I have recommended their product in my previous post Face Puree - Face Cleanser Review. I refer them as our very own LUSH in India.
Also, if you ever get to email them or message them on facebook.. do mention my name.
