Runners Who Wine Episode 22: Dealing with Life Burnout

By Fitfulfocus @fitfulfocus
The Runners Who Wine Podcast is back! A little life burnout kept us away, but now we're here to share where we've been and catch up with some life updates.

Guys, we're back! I know we said that last time around, but this time it's for real. For everyone who reached out asking us about the podcast, thank you. We really appreciate your thoughts and desire to have the podcast back. Honestly, if it weren't for those comments, we may have let this podcast drift into the podcastsphere never to be recorded again, but thanks to you all, we decided to get our shit together and make this podcast happen again. For real.

I Know What You're Thinking...

What the heck, guys? It's been months since your last episode.

I know! I know. I hang my head in shame. But also, we needed to take a step back for a minute.

Something I hear a lot in the fitness world is "no excuses." While I do believe there is a way to find time to fit in health and wellness in some capacity every day, the "no excuses" mentality doesn't always apply when it comes to the rest of life. Things happen that we can't plan for (unexpected travel for work, kids growing up, exciting new life developments developing), and we have to adjust our priorities to keep stress, anxiety and overextension at bay. At times, that means passion projects have to be set aside, and in today's episode, Annmarie and I are talking about why that's OK!

Certain things in life are more important than others, and those things need to take priority. So what are these important life things that have been keeping us away from the podcast, and what's our plan of attack for being back on a more consistent basis? You'll just have to tune in to find out!
