My experience:

I have already done a first impressions post for this here. And I’m extremely sorry for taking so much time to do the complete review! I just got too busy

This was quite an impulsive purchase for me and I’m glad I bought it!

There are 3 shades in this BB cream – Warm(honey), Neutral(Gold) and Cool(Ivory). I got this BB cream in the shade neutral(Gold) from purplle.com as I mentioned in the earlier post so, I do not know how are the other two shades of this cream.

The L’Oreal Paris la crème True match skin idealizing BB cream(quite a mouthful ) comes in a gold coloured cardboard carton. The cream itself comes in a beige coloured tube with a golden screw on cap. The packaging is very attractive and also sturdy and travel friendly! In fact, I love the packaging!! It looks like a classy high-end product!

The nozzle dispenses the cream easily and is very easy to use. No hassles with the packaging as such!

The texture of the cream is beautiful. It’s a water based cream and it blends like a dream. Okay, that rhymes

It says on the carton that it’s very moisturizing and I’ll agree there. It is quite moisturizing. I have combination-oily skin and mainly my T-zone remains oily all day! This one makes my face feel very soft because of the moisturizing properties I guess. But it also makes my T-zone quite oily in just 1-2 hours. So, I need to touch up often. This BB cream gives my face a very soft dewy and glowy look with, something like the soft focus feature in cameras

But I want to mention this here, that this doesn’t have a greasy feel at all. Since it’s water based and not oil based, it has a very light texture which is not at all greasy. And I love that! When I say, it makes my T-zone oily I only mean that it doesn’t really control my skin’s oils.

To be honest, I am confused if I should be happy about this or not. Because – though I have somewhat oily skin, I do not like a matte finish on my face and that confuses me so much about all products. L with my oily nose and forehead, I anyway need to touch up with powder every few hours, so why should I complain if a cream makes me do the same! So, I’ve decided I’m not cutting points for that! Because the product doesn’t claim to control oil or to mattify or anything like that! And I bought it knowing fully well it’s not a mattifying product then why should I be blaming it!

One thing which made me fall in love with this BB cream a lot – around a few days back, I had not slept almost the whole night and I had to go somewhere early morning and my face looked terrible – extremely dull and weird L I couldn’t understand what to use so I just used this cream and my face looked very fresh and bright! I loved it it evened out my skin tone very well. It also hides minor dark circles and I pretty much like its coverage for daily use. Its coverage is sheer –medium. Since I do not have any blemishes as such, it makes my face look almost flawless with a soft focus effect as I said before. I generally powder over this only with a light wash of translucent powder so that the look of the cream itself doesn’t get affected.

So, well I’ve decided I’m going to love this one! And I guess, I’ll love it even more in colder months as then my skin gets very dry!

As I said above, this blends very easily, since the texture is very light it is very easy to blend this. And even when I have a hurried morning routine, I don’t find it tough or time-consuming to use. it almost gets absorbed by skin and doesn’t look like you’re wearing anything. It makes my skin look as if it’s like that naturally!

Also, it doesn’t transfer on handkerchiefs or clothes even on sweating!

The cream is on the expensive side. Maybe it should have been in the range of 250-350. But then, it’s L’Oreal and their pricing is like that. Also, I feel for the texture, it’s worth it!

(I’m also loving the Lakme CC cream a lot these days! Will review that too for you super soon )

The shade that I have – Neutral/Gold is a perfect match for my skin tone. My skin tone for your reference is around NC35-37 in MAC.

This has SPF35 and PA +++ which is excellent for regular use. But it does show in flash photography, like all things with SPF do!

Overall, it’s a good BB cream especially for dry skin. It brightens up the face really well and gives medium coverage. It can be a bit too rich for oily skinned girls. Beautifully packaged but also, a little expensive. I definitely recommend trying it if a shade matches you!

Why you’ll like it:

1)   Attractive packaging.

2)   Travel friendly and easy to use.

3)   Has SPF35 +++.

4)   Brightens up face.

5)   Evens out skin tone.

6)   Covers minor dark circles, blemishes…

7)   Gives medium coverage.

8)   Soft dewy finish.

9)   Moisturizing.

10)Blends very easily.

11)Doesn’t transfer.

Why you’ll dislike it:

1)   Too rich for oily skin.

2)   Slightly expensive.

3)   Doesn’t photograph well due to SPF.
