But let us start with the basics: Skinfood usually doesn't have too awesome packing designs, but this is especially bad. The product contains 30ml and the container is just unnecessarily huge and clumsy looking. The label is supposed to look like it was some kind of handmade paper, but it just makes the stuff on it hard to read. Also, it is impossible to tell how much product there is left in the container, because it is rather light and feels quite empty to begin with (this is what I mean by unnecessary huge. The container feels like there was just half of it filled with product). The only good thing is that it is a pump dispenser, which is quite hygienic in opposite to for example pots.
In most cases, the dark circles under the eyes are blood vessels that can be seen through the skin, because skin is the most thinnest under our eyes. Anything that makes your skin pale, like fatigue, makes your dark circles much more noticeable! In addition to this shadowing can also contribute to the dark color under the eyes for people with a deep-set bone structure. Sometimes dark circles are called by puffy eyes, when the area under your eyes is swollen, thus castings shadowns underneath. Again, anything that makes you paler, will make the contrast caused by shadows even stronger and make your dark circles appear darker! Therefore anything that makes the skin under your eyes even lighter, makes your your dark circles more prominent! So, bleaching the area around your eyes therefore just makes your dark circles more prominent!
The product also contains salmon role and salomon oil. At least salmon oil is a nutritional supplement which supports skin structure, so the Skinfood Salmon Brigthening Eye Serum is supposed to do something else besides just bleaching your skin. But I could really, absolutely do without the whineting!
The texture of the serum is like a liquid cream, but sadly takes a while to be absorbed by your skin, so I can never use BB Cream right over it, but always have to wait a while. If I use just the slightest amount too much of this product, it will make my BB Cream under my eyes cake unpleasantly. So, not only the function is not good, but also the application. The only thing I really like is the scent. Not sure what it is, it does not seem familiar, but it is really pleasant.
I used this product for maybe 3 or 4 weeks now, but I cannot say that I saw any noticeable effect at first. My skin is already very pale to begin with, I guess it just does not get any paler. But then I went on holidays, got a slight tan and, upon returning home, noticed that the area under my eyes appeared indeed lighter than the rest of my face, even though I had not even been using the product during that time. I think it looks quite stupid, pretty much like I feared and would never use this product again.
