These type of nail wrap products have been out for a while now claiming to give you an instant manicure. I have seen them in my local Priceline and on many beauty blogs but never really thought to give them a go.
I received these nail polish strips from Nailease* a few weeks ago and I was very excited to give them a go.
Nailease Nail Art in Red/White Hearts $11.95
You receive in the pack 20 nail strips, nail buffer and cuticle stick. There is a good variety of size and shapes so you should be able to find one to fit your nail shape. The nail buffer that comes with the pack is pretty useless but I am sure many of you have your own nail file lying around. The cuticle stick is very handy for moulding the sides and getting all the air bubbles out for a smooth finish.
The actual application process couldn't have been easier. I am by no means a pro at nails and I found applying these very easy.
1. Select the size to fit the nail and remove from full strip
2. Remove the plastic from both sides of the strip holding onto the silver portion.
3. Apply the strip to your nail starting at the base and smoothing out air bubbles as you go.
4. Fold the excess over the edge of your nail and file away the excess in a downward motion. Done!
For the first time using nail wraps I was pleasantly surprised how easy they are to use. This is not a product I'd use for everyday use but for special occasions these are excellent. The red/white hearts are really cute I am going to do these again for Valentines Day. I'll keep you updated on how these last during the week. I am pretty rough with my hands so it will be interesting to see how they hold up in comparison to normal nail polish.
You can purchase Nailease from the website http://www.nailease.com.au/ there are heaps of colours and patterns to choose from. Highly recommend them!
