[REVIEW] Loreal Infallible Lacquer Liner 24H

By Superbijinup @superbijinup
Hi everyone!
Sorry for being so MIA lately! It's definitely been a while since our last post! Life has just been pretty crazy and I've been recovering from a really bad sunburn at the beach last week. -_______-" Remember to reapply your sunscreen every two hours or else the recovery time of two weeks will not be a very pretty time for you.
Anyway, this will be a review on the new Loreal liner that launched not too long ago! I saw the display a while ago but I wasn't able to purchase it until recently! Oh the joys of having to go to CVS to buy aloe, lol.

I probably will pick up the fall colors for the shadows as well but I was pretty excited to try a new liner! They had 5 new shades for this liner:
Blackest Black Espresso Navy Slate Bronze
Definitely a well rounded selection for people who want more colors than just black.
This product retails for about $9.99 and can be found at any drugstore where they sell Loreal products.
More after the jump!
Packaging The packaging on this is very simplistic and similar to many other gel liners.  But these definitely does still need to be capped tightly to prevent the liner inside from drying out.  I haven't had an issue with it drying out but based on the hardness of the brush after drying, it definitely needs to be a precaution.     Claims/Ingredients L'Oreal Infallible Lacquer Liner 24H for eye design that is simply sophisticated. 24 hours of flawless, fade-free color with a unique lacquered finish. FIL D52660/2.   Swatches As you can see from the swatch, the finish is much different from the other gel liners I tested. It's not quite matte but it's not shiny either.  The closest comparison would probably be the MAC Fluidliner but again the finish isn't quite the same.
It didn't do too well in the smudge test but I think it's mostly because the thicker line needs a little bit more time to set/dry before smudging.  The thinner line definitely held up much better in the test.  This liner also has one of the blackest blacks out of the four other liners I've tested in this swatch.  I always like a darker black/pure black liner.  It definitely makes the eyes pop!

Thoughts Overall, I think that this liner is a pretty solid one.  It stood up pretty well during the ten to eleven hours that I wore it and had minimal smudging despite not using any type of primer.  It went on VERY VERY smooth and had no tugging during application.  The brush they provided was also very good.  I liked it a lot and would not mind using this brush for any of my other gel liners.  I also like the fact that the color is very pigmented and it's great quality for the price that you're paying.  My only complaint is that it does take a while for the liner to set so if you're in a hurry, pat on some black eyeshadow and you're set to go!  I'm definitely impressed!
