Review: Heroine Make Quick Eyeliner #02 Brown

By Herugliness
Hello! ~ Today I will review the Heroine Make Quick Eyeliner in shade #02 Brown for you. As always Heroine Make has a pretty packing design, even though this bright pink is not my personal preference. The eyeliner is available in black and brown and contains 0.1g of product.
The Heroine Make Quick Eyeliner comes in a plastic pencil, of which one end is twist-able and contains the actual eyeliner. You don't have any way to sharpen it, but the tip is quite narrow, so that's not really a problem. The other end of the pencil is a blending tip. It looks a bit like a brush on my photos, but it is actually one solid mass, reminding me a bit of a rubber. You can use the eyeliner like a normal eyeliner to create defined lines, or you can use the blending top to smudge the eyeliner and create a smoky-eyes look. The Heroine Make Quick Eyeliner is supposed to be of smooth texture according to its description. It is supposed to be strongly pigmented, long-lasting and waterproof. Unfortunately I cannot agree with all points. I thought it would have a smooth and kind of creamy texture, because that's the texture that would be the easiest to blend, but the eyeliner is kind of hard and dry. It makes drawing smooth, strong lines with one stroke pretty hard and I have to draw on my eye for a while till I get the effect and coverage I want. I did not specifically test it for its waterproof-effect, but I remove it with water and my normal facial cleanser each night and that works well for me.
The smudge effect works okay, though I don't have the feeling that it works any better than it would with any other pencil eyeliner. I can smudge it way easier on the swatch on my hand than I can on my eye, because it needs a bit of pressure and I don't intend to squeeze my eye out with this pencil. To me it feels like the only tool that this eyeliner gives you is the smudge tip, but the eyeliner itself doesn't really seem to have any texture that was specifically designed for smudging. It would probably work just as well with any other eyeliner.

The eyeliner contains botanical extracts, which is supposed to provides tender care to delicate skin around the eyes. I didn't notice any negative effects on my eyes/eyelids after using this, but then again I hardly any eyeliner has negative effects on my skin.
Overall I think that the Heroine Make Quick Eyeliner is a solid pencil eyeliner if you don't expect too much from the smudge effect, because that is quite average.
