As you must have noticed by now, I have an insatiable thirst to acquire all the lipstick shades in the world (that, along with the hunt for the Fountain of Youth). I’m definitely a slow starter when it comes to the world of lipsticks, having only started amassing my army in 2014 (yes, just last year!), so I’m trying to make up for lost time. These days, I find myself buying not just 1, but several shades of each lipstick line. Must. Try. To. Rein. It. In – but how can I, when they look so pretty?!

For a pinker version, try Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Envy Lipstick in Impulsive
For a cooler pink, try Mamonde’s Creamy Tint Color Balm Intense or Esprique’s Bright Lasting Rouge in PK891
For those who aren’t used to such bright colours, try a more muted pink (Estee Lauder, Infamous)
I say…
The Packaging: A super sweet pink plastic click-on cap casing with a glossy pink bow in the center. If you’re as clumsy as I am, you could even knock / dislodge it and use it as a ring :D
The Scent: It surprisingly has a mild floral scent.
The Texture: Smooth, easy to apply, no drag, relatively creamy, medium shine level. The color is intense – two layers is probably the max you need for a night out.
The Result: The color payoff is strong in this one – just 1-2 layers is more than enough to achieve the colours shown above. Shine level is medium while the intensity is strong. Although this is rather moisturising, and can cover most flakey portions of the lips, I’d suggest applying a light layer of balm / doing a light lip scrub before applying the lighter colours onto severely chapped lips, as it can sink into the fine lines after some time. The richer shades (PK003) had no issues covering all the icky portions of the lips though. It feels rather lightweight on the lips and has no greasy/sticky feeling. When it wears off, it leaves a faint rosy tint).
The Verdict: This is one I’d prefer to use in the daytime (rather than at a night gala event), simply cos it’s lighter and hence can wear off faster. At least in the day, I’ll be able to touch up constantly, rather than at night when I won’t be able to check the mirror regularly (yes yes, vainpot much, I know). Also, the daytime sun is much better to show off the bright poppy colours of this range. It’s affordable, it hydrates and gives good color intensity, and also comes in a super sweet pink packagin – come over to the dark side… come join me in owning many many shades of this range… come… :D
