Review: Canmake Coloring Eyebrow #01 Yellow Brown

Hello! ~♥ This is a review of the Canmake Coloring Eyebrow mascara in the shade  #01 Yellow Brown. I am a huge fan of Canmake products as well eyebrow mascaras. Because my eyebrow are almost black, but I dye my hair a lighter shade of brown, I feel like the combination looks odd and like to adjust the color with an eyebrow mascara. I used to dye my eyebrows at some point, but my hair (expect for the one on my head. Dhu!) grows super fast and I would have needed to dye my brows every 3 days.This eyebrow mascara comes in the size of an average sized lash mascara and as usual Canmake likes to keep you in the dark about the amount of the content, as there is no information to be found on the product, nor on Canmake's official website. The packing design is really boring: A simple undecorated gray metallic cap, a transparent container with the product's name on it is all you are getting here.
According to Canmake this mascara color "quickly and easily brightens up your entire look, allowing you to sport a different eyebrow color every day, so you can coordinate it with your hair, make-up and outfit." The Canmake Coloring Eyebrow mascara is available in 3 different shades and, according to Canmake, #01 Yellow Brown "goes well with your bright, blondish hair, for a sophisticated look".

My hair is medium brown, not blond, but I got a pretty light shade deliberately, because I feel that eyebrows look the best if they are either the same color as your hair, or even a shade lighter (unless you have a very light hair color, then eyebrows look best a tiny bit darker). I was a bit worried that it would turn out too light and, most of all, too yellowish, making me look weird. oh man, was I wrong.Canmake claimes the mascara would "go on smoothly, without feeling at all sticky or rough. The short inverted triangular brush makes it simpler to apply, ensuring that your brows are evenly coated and allowing you easily to adjust any imperfections in their thickness or texture."
I find neither of Canmakes descriptions to be accurate. The mascara looks really light in the container, on the brush and as swatch on my hand, but on my dark eyebrows it just doesn't manage to really change the color of my brows much, they still appear very dark. For me it is alright, since I just wanted them to be a bit lighter, but imagine you had blond hair - which is what Canmake suggests this mascara for - it wouldn't look good at all.But most of all I find the application really difficult. The texture of the mascara is very thick, clumps really easily (Canmake warns from using too much, because that could happen, but no matter how little of the product I use, I just can't make it work much better) and turns into a mess easily. It is really easy to mess up and end up having the product everywhere around your brows. The color just does not seem to stick on your brows, but on your skin.I think I have mastered to make the result look decent in the end, but it is really a fight.

On top of that, the Canmake Coloring Eyebrowmascara is waterproof. "Great", some might say, but not me. I never had problems with my eyebrow mascara melting into my eyes before (or even getting washed away by rain), I don't need waterproof eyebrow mascara and I find removing my makeup  so much more difficult when using this product! For me this is a huge disappointment and probably the first eyebrow mascara I ever bought, which I would not recommend or re-purchase. The only good thing I can find about the product is the price. I bought it in Japan for 400 Yen only. I guess I can make this product "work" for me, but pretty much every other eyebrow mascara I have tried was better than this one. Cheap price
