Hellooo shimmers,
I have never tried Body Shop makeup before and so I thought I would give one of there lipsticks a go. I can't remember how much it was, I got it after christmas and it was in the sale, I think it was around £6.
I love the mirrored packaging, however it does make for awkward photo taking! The packaging feels heavy and substantial which in turn makes me think it more expensive, luxurious.
I cannot find a name for the color I picked up anywhere on the packaging so I am not sure what it is called, but I went for a nude pink color. I dont have many...any nude coloured lipsticks. I am more scared to wear a nude lipstick than a bright lipstick, is that weird?! I loved this pink shade when I saw it and decided it would make a perfect new lipstick to add to my ever growing collection of lipsticks, I really should stop buying lipsticks at some point but I just love them too much!
This lipstick is soooo moisturising, it has a lip balm texture but the colouration of a lipstick. The formula reminds me of the Maybeline baby lips. Its not quite as moisturising as vaseline for example but its leaves your lips feeling moist, where as some lipsticks can by quite dry.
The only negative point I have about this lipstick is that it doesn't last very long on your lips. As soon as your lips touch something like food or drink the lipstick comes off. So if you are looking for a lipstick that lasts for ages then this isnt the one. However I am happy to retouch it every so often especially when it is moisturising my lips.
I am definitely going to have to try more body shop makeup products, I love their skin care ranges and the smells of their products; I have always been a huge fan of the body shop.
Any Body Shop makeup recommendations?
