Sometimes in September, Kibra member of parliament Kenneth Okoth wrote to National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi giving notice of introduction of a Bill that seeks to legalize the growth and use of marijuana in Kenya.The proposed Marijuana Control Bill 2018 is yet to be tabled in parliament. For the Bill to be implemented to law, it first needs the backing of majority house members to pass through the various stages in parliament before the president could assent to it.Babu Owino

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has indicated that he will fully back the proposed Marijuana Control Bill 2018 when tabled in parliament.Babu revealed he would support the Bill after having a ‘Rastafarian experience’, he took to social media and shared a photo of him wearing a Rasta hat with dreadlocks and captioned it;“Hii mboga ni ile mbichi au dry?Niko ready kupitisha ile bill.”
