Post Laser Treatment Collage | Laser Session 4
In laser session 4′s post laser treatment the scabs were redder than before. This was because of the increased intensity of the laser. Additionally, Dr Tan did go over the scars twice. Although it was intense, the turn out was great. My face healed quickly and it has an internal glow. The scars did diminish after the session and my complexion improved.
Before the Laser Treatment
Since the service standard at Aesthetic Central Clinic was impeccable as usual, I'm going to hop right in. There was a slight scar on my nose from the previous session. On my right cheek, there was a scar near my nose, one under the corner of my right eye, 2 near my mouth area. My left cheek looked rather clean in this light.
Numbing Cream Application
As this is my fourth session, a thicker layer of numbing cream was applied. This was to prepare me for the intense laser session ahead.
Immediately After Laser Treatment
During the laser session, Dr Ryan Tan went over the acne scars twice. As expected the pain level increased. However, as they say, "No pain No gain!". After the process, I did feel that my cheeks were burning. Despite that, my complexion looked 1 shade lighter.
An Hour after the Laser Treatment
An hour after the treatment, redness on my face did subside. The burning sensation was still there but it did ease off as the time goes by.
1 Day After the Treatment
A day after the laser treatment, my face felt rather dry. Additionally, my skin felt tight too. I was able to feel the scabs from the laser session forming on my face. It does not hurt as much as the day before. However, my under eye area slightly flared up when in contact with my skincare products
2 Days After the Treatment
The scabs formation became more obvious on the second day. The lower half of my face was a mix of red and light brown on the left side. With the scabs development, my face was not as sensitive. Instead, it felt dry and tight. On the other hand, the area under my eyes was still painful upon touch.
3 Days After the Treatment
On day 3, the redness from the day before subsided. Instead, patches of brown scabs could be seen around my face. Most of them congregated at my cheek area. My facial complexion still remained dry and rough. At the end of the day, visible peeling could be spotted on my cheeks and nose. Without said, my face did felt better after masking.
4 Days After the Treatment
Day 4 is when the peel-a-ton started. Like the previous day, my skin was still dry and filled with scabs. However, patches of scabs could be seen falling off when I was applying my toner. It was both abominable and magnificent at the same time. The sanctification of watching the scabs falling off your skin is wondrous.
5 Days After the Treatment
Due to the intense peeling session the day before - and during the night since I sleep on my side - the significant difference on my skin was not to be missed. It was such a weird sensation to have half of your face soft and smooth while the other half still rough. Some of the scabs that were still hanging onto their dear life had a red undertone to it.
I find that one of the most satisfying things about doing the carbon dioxide laser is watching the old scabs dropped off. As the scabs dropped off in bigger pieces now as compared to dots, the satisfactory level of watching the peeling progress increased.
6 - 8 Days After the Treatment
From day 6 onward, an obvious healthy glow could be seen on my cheeks. Aside from the sides of my face, the scabs on my face have mostly shedded. Ignoring the pimples due to hormonal period, my skin did look rather smooth and soft. I would definitely call this the peak period.
9 and 10 Days After the Treatment
Like the previous updates, the sides of my skin still refuse to peel thus it still feel rough. Despite that, my face still remained soft and have a healthy glow at the central.
Aesthetics Central Clinic Carbon Dioxide Fractional Laser Treatment Session 4 Summary
In this session, my complexion not only got brighter but the laser managed to even out the skin tone as well. The acne scars on my right cheek became less prominent and the apples of my cheek had a healthy glow too. Although the laser process was a little agonizing, I'll say that it gave flawless results. My face had a healthier glow at the end of the sessions as well.
