Remaining and Looking Refreshed While Stressed

Sorry for the lack of posts recently; it is finals week. Yikes! But this year, I am not feeling as stressed. Maybe because I am used to it or just ready for this semester to be over with. Either way, I wanted to share some tips to help you through stressful times.
1.) Stay hydrated. Try to avoid drinking a lot of coffee and stick with tea or water. Too much caffeine will leave you jittery and feeling more anxious. But if you feel you need caffeine, drink a cup or two of coffee or opt for green tea instead.
2.) Sleep! I know sleep can be a luxury for almost everyone nowadays, but it is essential. You will think more clearly and function better if you get a good night's sleep. This varies from person to person; I can function very well on 3-5 hours of sleep, but always try to get at least 6. And sleep is also essential for skin cell turnover. But on the flipside, too much sleep can leave you feeling groggy. If need be take a 30 min nap during the day.
3.) Exercise, even if only for 15 min a day. I am very much guily of not following this one because I don't have time, or too sleepy to do it. But making time really makes a difference. It makes you feel more energized and increases blood flow.
4.) Scent, provided you are not allergic.  I like keeping a citrus scented candle in my room, or anything with a minty scent. I find them relaxing, yet stimulating.
5.) Altoids or strong, minty gum. You try falling asleep with an Altoid in your mouth. Not likely to happen. I've gotten through many an exam/lecture this way. And fresh breath is never a bad thing.
6.) An Illuminator or Highligher. I like NARS Illuminator in Copacabana or Smashbox Artificial Light Luminizing Lotion in Diffuse. Apply over the face before foundation or tinted moisturizer for a subtle glow that looks like you've slept for 8 hours.
7.) Rhoto Eye Drops. Altoids for the eyes, enough said.
8.) Nude eye liner. Pixi Eye Bright is my favorite. It makes your eyes look bigger and brighter.
9.) Hydrating eye cream and concealer. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream, Corrector and Creamy Concealer Kit. I know these are expensive, but it is worth it. If you do not have bad dark circles, the corrector is not necessary.
10.) Bright lipstick, gloss or balm to add some color and liven up the face.
11.) Don't skip your skincare routine! At least invest in some makeup removing wipes to keep your skin clean.
