I feel like I haven’t done one of these in forever, so I feel a little rusty. But, I’ve loved a lot of products this month…
Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Eye Serum, $82.00 (15mL)
I found this while I was putting together my new set of Alex drawers a few weeks ago and it’s one of those products that makes you wonder how you managed to stop using it, when it’s so amazing!
Although it is expensive, I love it because you just need the tiniest amount to put under your eyes, from the inner tear duct area all the way to your temples. I usually use this at night, after I’ve cleansed my face. It has a nice relaxing scent that’s perfect for the night.
Revlon Lash Potion, $17.95*
This was a product that pretty much everyone in the beauty community is raving about. I got the original Lash Potion when I finished that I got thrown into using Benefit’s They’re Real! mascara.
I’m loving everything about this product because it’s lengthens and volumises in all the right places for me.
Oralife Peppermint Lip Treatment, $6.95* (20g)
This has been my go-to lip treatment before bedtime. I LOVE mint lip products and so this shouldn’t really be a surprise. It really into the lips and keeps them moisturised til the morning. Although it doesn’t soften them too much, it really does prevent my lips drying, especially in the weather we’ve been having all month.
Australis Tint My Brow in Light Brown, $5.97*
This product was a real surprise for me. For the last few months I’ve been struggling to find brow products that doesn’t make my brows look tattooed or obviously drawn on. Even with a few Benefit brow products, it didn’t help. Now all I use is a few simple drugstore brow products (darker than my brows), brush this product over the top and it gives me the perfect brow shade that suits my hair and gives them a natural look. It also doubles up as a brow gel so those products aren’t going ANYWHERE!
Essence Liquid Ink Waterproof eyeliner, $2.55*
Like my brow products, I haven’t been able to find a liquid liner that doesn’t flake away throughout the day. My holy grail liquid liner seemed to have changed formulas which now cracked throughout the day, which leaves my winged eyeliner a bit skanky.
So, I thought I’d try these waterproof liner, which also might help should I become emotionally teary on any given day. Although I’m not a fan of the brush – it’s a thin brush, that I find too flimsy – this product has been amazing. It doesn’t flake, smudge off or cry off. Essence surprises me again.
Butter London 3 Free Nail Lacquer in ‘Macbeth’, $18.95
I went shopping at a health food store in Kings Cross recently and while I was stalking some new lip balms, I noticed one of the sales girl’s nail polish and it just so happened to be this shade. It’s a beautiful warm watermelon shade, which I’m obsessed with lately. It is a bit streaky and might need a third coat instead of the standard two, but it’s well worth it. Perfect for the Summer.
Benefit’s Rockateur Blush, $51
This is close to being my holy grail blush. It’s just the perfect shade for my skin tone and it really gives me a natural flush without too much shimmer or pigment. It smells really nice, like a fabric softener. I’m just not a fan of the packaging. It look just a little tacky with the reptile skin and pink lace, but that’s minor. Still a great product and it’s worth the pricetag.
