Re-purposing used Christmas tags, ribbons and wrapping paper in Junk Journals

Suddenly, it's December. As per tradition, December is a time for me to finally add content to the DIY segment of the blog. This time it is a collaboration video that is part of the FJJP 12 Days of Junk Journal Gifts Tutorials series. I've collaborated with this group of amazing creators to create 12 Days of Junk Journal Gifts Tutorials in 2019 too. Last year, I created 3 ways to use your old Christmas Greeting Cards. This year, I'm teaching you how to re-purposing used tags, bows, ribbon, gift bags, & wrapping paper scraps in Junk Journals.

Junk Journal with me

I featured the tutorial / journal with me in my junk journal that I've sewed and binded using my old memorabilia from my past. Therefore, there are old cards, tiny CD envelope and other items already sewed in the journal before I started working on the page. I will be posting a video on how I made the junk journal next year so do subscribe if you have not.

Mistletoe

This December, I'm featuring the Mistletoe in my creations as an icon to the first Xmas gift edition bookmarks that I painted as a gift for those that ordered my book from my Ko-fi page or through direct messaging me.

Using Mail Art in Journal Pages

Aside from using Christmas wrappers, tags and other jingle jangles, I also included Christmas Mail Art from my penpals and other Xmas gifts in this journal spread as well for they go well together. I left a part of the journal page empty so that I have place to fill up my thoughts on during the actual Xmas day this year.

All in all, this was journal with me a great break from the lifestyle and beauty reviews that I've been rapidly posting on my blog this year. 2017 me would be so proud.
