Re-Post: What I Learn About You In A Few Quick Google Searches

It’s not often that I abdicate and simply re-post someone else’s writing, but this blog post by Nathaniel Broughton said it all, and said it well. 

You should expect to be Googled and to Google people you’re going to meet.  As Broughton mentions in his post, your conversation will be much better much faster if you can say, “I really liked the article you wrote on…” rather than simply commenting on the weather. You should master the skills of finding people – and the skills it takes to be found.  What does your online footprint look like?  Can people find you easily, see your areas of expertise, and learn what you’re interested in right now?  If not, you have some work to do.  Read the full post here: http://ow.ly/5hHuH
