QUICK REVIEW, SWATCHES: The Body Shop Lily Cole Hi Shine Lip Treatment Lip Gloss – Go Wild.

Hey everyone

How’s your week coming along? mine is boring… exams from next week

Today I’m reviewing TBS hi shine lip gloss for you all. This is a short review as this was a special lip gloss part of the Lily Cole collection.

It retails for INR 400 for 6ml. I got for INR 340 or 360 during sale in November.

The lip gloss comes in a tiny tube with a slanted applicator. This is the best kind of packaging I feel as it’s totally hygienic and convenient to use. The tube is really tiny and can be slipped into any pocket and the smallest of purses and can be carried anywhere easily.

TBS also has a normal Hi shine lip gloss range but this one has the signature of Lily Cole as its part of that collection.

You all know I’m such a sucker for good fragrances and I love it when my makeup or skin care smells good. And this was one of the reasons to buy this gloss. It smells absolutely delicious. Its fragrance is fruity, citrusy and very fresh. I love sniffing at it whenever I can.

The lip gloss has a thick and slightly sticky texture. Its thick but it goes on the lips very easily and smoothly. I am a complete lip gloss person rather than a lipstick person and most glosses need to be sticky to have a good staying power so I don’t mind the stickiness much. Although its’ not overly sticky but yes, I feel the stickiness won’t be liked by all. It doesn’t feel heavy on the lips at all and feels quite comfortable.

Talking about the staying power, it stays on my lips very easily for 3-4 hours which is great for a gloss. It even survives some small snacks. Yayyy for that

One thing I really love about this gloss is that it is actually moisturizing. Most glosses leave lips dry when they wear off. This makes my lips soft and leaves them feeling healthy and not at all dry.

The gloss definitely gives a lot of shine to my lips as it claims to. My lips are very thin and I love glosses that make them look full and plump and this one does the job perfectly

The shade that I have is 02 Go Wild. It looks like a pretty plummish pink in the tube with a lot of micro-glitter particles. On the lips it comes out mostly transparent with a hint of pink and loads of shine. My lips are not pigmented and this looks very pretty when worn alone.

I really love this lip gloss and yes, although it’s a little expensive for the quantity, I find it worth the price for the staying power and the fact that it’s not drying. I would love to add more Hi Shine glosses to my vanity.

Overall, it’s a good lip gloss which gives a lot of shine to lips and a hint of color which looks perfect for casual wear.
