Quick Review: Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation

So many beauty bloggers and Youtubers have crowned Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation as their favorite drugstore foundation for the last few months of 2013 and I tested out this foundation for the past two months to find out what is so great about it to have a lot of people rave about.
Covergirls Outlast 3 in 1 Foundation has a good range of shades to select from in the drugstore and I went for 842 Medium Beige since it's usually my shade and it looks light in the bottle but I went ahead for it since the next shade looks a bit dark for me. However, I find that upon application, it is indeed a shade or two lighter than my skin tone.
The texture is liquidy and it has that fresh scent that Covergirl foundations always have. this foundation looks natural although it does have a medium to full coverage and it feels pretty light on the skin too. It evens out the skin pretty well, neutralizes redness and covers small blemishes. It didn't hide my dark circles though and I still have to use a concealer to cover those up.
This foundation lasts me a good 6 hours of wear which is pretty good for a drugstore foundation. One downside about this foundation is that it highlights dryness on the skin and even with a good moisturizer on before application, I can see dry patches along my forehead, which I don't usually get even if my skin is really dry.

It is a primer, foundation and concealer in 1 and I had such high hopes for this, but it just isn't right for me. It photographs really well and you get a really flawless look but on a close inspection, the dry patches are just not pretty to look at. I also didn't get a good color match despite the range of shades that they have. I really have no such luck with Covergirl foundations but hopefully they will come out with something in the future that I would like.
