It takes a lot for me to bare to dare, so finding this product was a god send. I was wearing a dress to a wedding and I was looking for something that would give me a bit more colour, and even out any imperfections. After spending hours in numerous Boots and Superdrug stores testing out different bronzers, I found the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs Cream. I'd heard of the Sally Hansen airbrush spray, and I was intrigued, but it looked like a disaster waiting to happen in my hands, but when I saw that they had a lotion version I was sold! Obviously,
I haven’t used the spray on my legs, but I did try it on my hand and it came out with this weird gray film... NOT the look I was going for! Has anyone used it? What did you think of it?Application of the lotion was really easy. I just applied it directly to my skin and rubbed it in like a moisturiser. All you have to do is make sure you don't miss any nooks and crannies (I’m looking at you ankles and knees). But if you do miss a bit you can always add a little and make sure you blend it in well.
The shade I bought was #02 medium glow, and I tried the deep glow (#04) too, but that looked a bit to orangey for me. I have medium brown skin, and the medium glow was slightly darker than my natural colouring. It was a really good color for me; it evened me out and covered up minor imperfections, making my legs look close to flawless! I haven't used any other type of body makeup before, but I was surprised at how good the coverage was. The lotion has a matte finis, so it looks almost like you’re wearing tights. Ideally I’d prefer a little bit of shine, so my next step will be to find something to bring a bit of shine back.
On the bottle it claims to be transfer resistant, but I’d suggest waiting as long as possible before getting dressed. I was wearing a light pink dress to the wedding and it rubbed off a bit when I put the dress on, and ruched it up to sit down in the car. I ended up rubbing off the excess with a towel, and after that nothing came off - and this didn't lessen the effect of the product. It also didn’t come off on my white sheets that evening, which is a big plus! I washes it off with soap in the shower, it took two rinses to get it all off, so it really doesn’t budge once it's dry! I would be interested to see what would happen if it rained though...
All in all, this is a great product, if you need a little extra confidence baring your legs.
