This summer is going to be a very royal summer with Prince George turning 1 years old on the 22nd July. I can't believe how fast this past year has gone, it seems like only yesterday we were all desperate to see pictures of the new addition to the royal family and everyone was in awe at how good Kate looked. Now he has past many milestones and is able to stand.
Prince George's birthday is set to be marked with the release of the £5 coin, he will be the first member of the royal family to have his birthday honoured with a new UK coin, so it will definitely be a date remembered in history. Apparently his parents, Kate and William, approved the design of the sterling silver birthday piece. They will be priced at £80 each and there will be a limited mintage of 7,500 birthday coins… I bet they sell out within minutes!

It's amazing how involved the world wants to be with the Royal family! I remember the Royal wedding being a similar exciting event. Warren's family had a big party, we all dressed up and all gathered around the TV to watch! It was such a memorable event in history and I can't wait to see what other celebrations there is for George first birthday.
