"Power Dominate Talons in 70-17 Victory on the Road
Pittsburgh Notched First Road Win of 2014 Season in San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 4, 2014) – The Pittsburgh Power Arena Football team traveled to San Antonio, TX, for their first road game of the 2014 season. At the Alamodome, the Power recorded their largest victory in team history and dominated the Talons with a final score of 70-17. With the win, the Power improve their record to 2-1 on the season while the Talons fall to 0-4.
The Power held the Talons scoreless until :02 seconds remaining the first half when San Antonio’s kicker Garrett Lindholm connected on a 41-yard field goal attempt. Until then, Pittsburgh recorded an impressive four passing touchdowns, two rushing, and one fumble recovery for a touchdown in the half to make the score after two quarters, 42-3.
Pittsburgh continued to control the game in the second half, out-scoring San Antonio 28-14.
The Pittsburgh Power return home to CONSOL Energy Center next week hosting the New Orleans VooDoo on Friday, April 11. Kickoff on CBS Sports Network is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
