Powder Upgrade

Making an appointment with your local Mecca Cosmetica is a really great way to get to know a brand or get introduced to products you wouldn't typically check out yourself. On this particular trip, I was determined to pick up the above Ambient Lighting Powder but was really keen to hear about some lip recommendations too. Istvan Hrichak from Hourglass [He's awesome!] was in store and took me through everything step by step. I took these pictures of my face when I got home. [Sorry for the drenched rat hair. The lesson I took from the experience is that Hourglass is beyond just great primer, foundation, epic eyebrow pencils and powder. The Visionaire Eye Shadow Duos are really silky and long lasting. Plus the Film Noir Full Spectrum Mascara actually gave me lashes.

I also road tested the Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation with a one drink limit at the pub and there was no such thing as Asian flush. Can you tell I love this foundation already?
