Poor Little Honey

Honey is not much better todayIn fact she is utterly miserableAnd the fact she is wearing a buster collar is not helping mattersShe keeps trying to scratch her sore eyeI really and truly feel sorry for herHer eye is still very red and swollenWe felt so sorry for her last nightThat we let her in to the living roomUsually they stay in the kitchen and utility roomWe brought her bed inAnd she lay between my sister and IGetting up every so oftenAnd snoring quietly
When I went to get them up this morningHoney didn't move an inchUsually she bounds out to greet meShe is really not herself
Then I had to give her the medication the vet gave usShe wouldn't take it on its ownSo I wrapped the tablet in s bit of hamBut she still wouldn't take itI went to the shops and bought some roast beefHoping that would tempt herIt took a whileBut the meds eventually went down
I guess all I can do is keep an eye on herAnd give her plenty of TLCI'm hopeful that she will make a full recoveryAnd we will look after her as best we can
