PK Subban's Defensive-zone Tendencies

By Kicks @Chrisboucher73
This post will focus on PK Subban's tendencies when in possession of the puck in the defensive-zone. Only even-strength events have been used in this calculation. The percentage indicated reflects the percentage of possession events where Subban attempted that specific play. The higher the percentage, the more often that play was attempted.
SUBBAN'S DEFENSIVE-ZONE PUCK-POSSESSION TENDENCIES
Subban has chosen to dump the puck out of the defensive-zone more often than the average Habs defensemen. He has also chosen to attempt to beat player's 1on1 (deke) more often. Subban's stretch pass tendency has been identical to the average produced by Habs d-men, while he has chosen to go D-to-D with the puck less often.

PUCK-POSSESSION TENDENCIES FOR HABS DEFENSEMEN

Subban has also produced the third-most defensive-blueline carries among Montreal defensemen. Expressed simply, Subban has skated the puck out of the defensive-zone more often than all Habs d-men except for Jarred Tinordi, and Francis Bouillon.
