Okay, seriously, I have not been THIS excited about eye makeup in AGES. My go-to eye look since NYC has basically been just curl and mascara on repeat. Weeks and weeks ago I did try and swatch this Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen on my hand (called that but it’s a pencil) which they probably call a pen because of how smooth it glides on but I hadn’t had the chance to shoot or say anything after all the hospital commotion we had after I got back from abroad. What seems like “just an eyeliner” does so much more. I fell for it again when I recently used it on some bridesmaids I made up at a wedding. It’s soft when it glides on but sets and becomes waterproof after a few minutes. I also discovered what a wonderfully dual purpose product it actually is. It helps me create Charlotte Tilbury inspired smoky eyes.
“Waterproof, super-long-wear, no-smudge, no-budge eye liners. They glide on like seamless silk, and in a single sweep motion create a flawless, solid jewel-toned line. No retouching required all day – or night! Gentle on eyes, yet intensely coloured and super-silky. Waterproof. Paraben-free. Mineral oil-free. Preservative-free. Hypoallergenic. (Formulated with Vitamin E to nourish the eye area).” Php740.00 from GlamourBox here l PIXI UK is also available at Ava.ph, seektheuniq.com, Pure Beauty boutiques (Serendra & Alabang Town Center), Commonthread Rockwell & Greenbelt 5, Plana Forma and select Snoe outlets.
This eye pencil (notice they didn’t just label it “eyeliner’) is awesome because it glides on silky but gives you a super reasonable amount of time to blend it over the lid if you’re using it as an eyeshadow, about a good 4-5minutes. It really is the eyeliner range of Pixi cosmetics because the brand really has its own collection of LidLast Shadow pens, but these eyeliners also work miraculously well as eyeshadow as you can see and on my for the last 5 hours so far it hasn’t creased and I was sweating today.
I’m not pulling your leg when I say on my eyes I’m only wearing this Pixi Silky Eye pencil in Bronzebeam and mascara. I applied the pencil all over the lid up to the crease, used a small crease eyeshadow brush to blend it out quickly in the crease before it set. I lined the upper lashline again after blending over the lid to bring back intensity then I lined underneath the eyes, curled lashes and applied mascara. That’s it. Two products = smudgeproof smoky eyes, pencil then mascara. No faffing around with eyeshadow if you’re not up to it, but you can also add some on top if you like.

The shade I have also reminds me of a Rouge Bunny Rouge eyeshadow I admired on my friend Charlotte before called “Skylark”. It’s this really warm bronze that’s almost copper, a hue that’s rich and gorgeous all the way. It’s so pretty you’d think bronze or copper would look redundant against brown or hazel eyes, but it still looks chic. That’s why it’s important that the mascara you use is very black for contrast. I so like how without black eyeliner in the way the lashes just pop out against the bronze. I find that this pencil is a great affordable dupe for Charlotte Tilbury’s highly acclaimed color chameleon eyeshadow pencils. These pencils come in about 14 shades on the UK site, I’m not quite sure how many shades are available locally, but I’m very happy I was sent this one. As a liner, once it sets, it’s not going anywhere like those well-known gel eyeliners. I guess the difference is how fantastic this looks over the lids when blended out, true testament to a great formula. Did I mention how I absolutely dig the color I was sent? It’s called Bronzebeam, they couldn’t have thought of a better name for this shade. Follow Pixi UK Cosmetics at @pixibeautyPH and @glamourboxPH both on Instagram.
