Pirates Sign Daniel Hudson

Deal is for 2 years and 11 million. His numbers don't look great last year but he is a quality reliever. He throws hard (average of 96 with his fastball), misses bats and has ok control. He was hurt last year by one brutal month but was excellent the rest of the year. I think he'll make for a fine back end right handed reliever which aside from another SP was the thing the Pirates were most sorely missing.

But, but, but Nutting is cheap and won't spend any money. The deal also includes an additional 1.5 mil/yr in incentives. I sure hope he works out. Needed a RH pitcher in the pen. Too many lefties.
