Pens Hire Mike Johnston as Coach

Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Jim Rutherford has reportedly ended his head coaching search and is ready to announce his new bench boss at noon ET.
Johnston was reported as the front-runner Monday. He spent six years as an assistant coach with the Vancouver Canucks before moving to the Los Angeles Kings organization and finally to the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL.
