In his first season as head coach of the Penn State Nittany Lions, James Franklin is letting his players no that there will be a no nonsense approach and very little acceptance when it comes to off-field troubles.
Offensive lineman Anthony Alosi learned things the hard way over the weekend, when Franklin announced Alosi has been indefinitely suspended from the team.
Franklin confirmed the news after the team’s spring game on Saturday.
There is no word on whether or not Alosi’s suspension is expected to be lifted before the start of the regular season, where he was expected to be a big contributor in 2014.
Alosi was arrested in January and charged with simple assault, conspiracy to commit simple assault and harassment. The victim in the incident was allegedly kicked in the head by Alosi, which had resulted in the victim going to the hospital with multiple injuries.
A hearing is set for April 23.
