Paul Mitchell KerActive Forever Blonde Shampoo & Conditioner – Review

The shampoo comes in a plastic bottle with a push to open lid and the conditioner is in a tube with flip top and the scent is very pleasant with an almost ‘clean soap’ smell which is very subtle and lingers for a day or so after washing. Both the shampoo and conditioner are quite thick in texture and a little goes a long way. The shampoo is a generous 250ml bottle and the conditioner, a 200ml tube and both the products are straight forward and easy to use as they have a shiny silver label with clear and easy to understand black writing. Directions on the back of the packaging are clear and easy to follow.

The shampoo doesn’t give hair a ‘squeaky’ clean feeling which is great and it left my hair feeling soft and clean without feeling dried out. The conditioner left my hair feeling soft and smooth and as I have curly hair, it tends to frizz when using new products but that didn’t happen with these products. Both work really well with each other and don’t leave hair feeling ‘oily’ or weighed down. I love that even when I used the shampoo without following with the conditioner my hair didn’t feel dry and coarse as it can do with some shampoos. My blonde hair was also glossy and the color appeared lifted after a few uses.

The only real thing I didn’t like was when trying to fit the products side by side in the shower it was a little more difficult because they were in different shaped/ sized packaging but I would definitely recommend these products to a friend with blonde hair.  It might not be a holy grail item but my hair is also curly and requires deep hydration so that may be a factor.
