To my friends in the Ironman Community,
The numbers coming out of the Philippines after last week’s Super-Typhoon Haiyan are sobering:
- Winds as high as 195 mph with gusts up to 230 mph
- 11.3 million people were affected (4.4 million of those are children)
- 673,000 people were displaced (300,000 of those are children)
One of the most powerful storms ever recorded, Haiyan has devastated parts of the country. Half of those displaced are in shelters, the other half are struggling to survive in the open, desperate for humanitarian support.
To support victims of Typhoon Haiyan, our goal is to feed at least 1,000 families every day for a month. We’ve teamed up with a Philippine non-profit organization dedicated to fighting poverty, Gawad Kalinga, which means “give care.”
We’re going to raise money through the sale of Ironman Limited Edition Philippines Relief Effort T-Shirts. Your $30 contribution for one shirt will feed a family of five every day for a month. 100% of the proceeds go to support these families in need.
Visit IronmanStore.com to buy your Limited Edition Philippines Relief Effort T-Shirt today through Dec. 1. You can also help contribute to our relief efforts at Crowdrise.com/IronmanHumanitarian.
With your support, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by this disaster.
