Happy 2014 Everyone!!!
Three of the most important people in my life are sleeping in my living room right now. My Canadian best friend, her Roman husband and their baby girl. Sometimes I think if she wasn’t here with me, in this cigarette smoking, espresso drinking, pasta eating country that I would have never made it. They came from Rome to spend New Years with us. On the 31st I got my first photography lesson, we ate gnocco fritto together, we had a stroller race and giggled. My Modena friends rented a room in a community centre so we joined them and we had the biggest New Year’s Eve private dinner party I’ve ever seen. With the entire 4 course meal made by 4 guys you’d think only knew how to BBQ.#making2014count

What is something you want to change, or a goal you want to set for the New Year, and what is your plan for making it happen?To be perfectly honest January 1st has never really represented anything “new” to me. I’ve always thought of September, after the summer holiday, as my fresh start. But I know that 2014 will be different. I bought a new camera, this blog is a new project, and my baby will learn to talk this year. My goal is to enjoy what I have. 2. Many people choose a word to reflect on, live by, or aspire to for the New Year. Let us know your word, how you decided upon it, and how you hope to incorporate it into 2014.
CAPTURE Or better yet capture without forgetting to be present. 3. I will make 2014 count by… Every year counts. I don’t need to do anything. I have more now that I have ever known before.
