Hi girls,
I hope all of you are doing good. I would like to thank everyone for your lovely comments on my posts. It is very encouraging. After my infamous lipstick reviews it was time for an eye shadow duo I love. The eye shadow I shall review is from the Oriflame Very Me Envy Eye Shadow Duo in Green Envy. I love green eye shadows. I had got this one along with two other eye shadows which I shall review in due course of time. Let us see how this one fares.Ingredients: not mentioned.
Price: Rs.279/- currently for 1.9gm. I had got it on discount.
Oriflame has different ctaegories under which they sell eye shadows. They have trios, duos and eye shadow palettes too. This eye shadow is a duo. It comes in a transparent packaging with the Very Me logo in the front with polka dots. The shades are visible through the front cover. The lid shuts well and is travel friendly. It does not come with any applicator or a mirror. Overall the packaging is cute and girly.
Now coming to the eye shadow. As I mentioned that it is a duo which means it contains 2 shades which complement each other. This one has light green and dark green which has a tiny hint of blue to it. The idea is that you need to use the lighter color on the inner 1/3 of the lid and the darker shade in the crease which can be blended in with a fluffy blending brush for a seamless finish which is exactly what I have done in the pic and have used a brown pencil eye liner. Now I do have pigmented eye lids hence I neutralize it by using a concealer/foundation or bb cream then set it with powder. Since I do not own a eye primer this step helps in applying the shadow well and also makes it long lasting. On its own without any eye primer it has to be packed in so that it shows up well. With primer or the step I have used it will definitely last better. There is almost no fall out and I did not find it chalky. It blends well too. It lasted for 5 hours or more on my eyes. It is worth giving a try in my opinion. The Good: Nice and decently pigmented shade.Cute packaging.Inexpensive.2 shades complement each other. The not so Good:Availability may be an issue with some but now its easy to find a representative and also you can find it on ebay.No mention of ingredient anywhere. No applicator or mirror included.Without a primer may not last long and may have to be packed on the lids.Rating: 4/5Oriflame Very Me Eye Shadow is nice and decent for the price. You can give this a try for sure. I liked this one in particular. What I think about the other shades will let you know in my future reviews. I hope my review was helpful and made sense. Please feel free to comment below. I read and reply to each and every comment.
Love,
