In the month of October Oriflame has launched The One collection and few bloggers were chosen to test and try the products. This month I have received a few products for review and one of those is the Oriflame The One Illuskin Powder.

Packaging: Oriflame The One Illuskin Powder comes in a Navy blue cardboard packaging. The powder compact is again navy blue in color and inside there is a mirror and an applicator.Product: The texture of the Oriflame The One Illuskin Powder is quite silky and smooth.

Ingredients: TALC, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, ZEA MAYS STARCH, DIMETHICONE, ZINC STEARATE, PENTAERYTHRITYL TETRAISOSTEARATE, SILICA, OCTYLDODECYL STEAROYL STEARATE, PHENOXYETHANOL, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, SORBIC ACID, NYLON-12, HDI/TRIMETHYLOL HEXYLLACTONE CROSSPOLYMER, DIISOSTEARYL MALATE, DISODIUM EDTA, PARFUMy Experience: My skin is oily-combination but tends to get dry during winters. Generally I need a long-lasting powder to set my makeup. Oriflame The One Illuskin Powder is a very smooth textured powder. The lightweight formula helps the powder to blend into the skin very easily, without leaving any chalky or cakey residues.  The skin becomes flawless and imperfections such as light marks or enlarged pores get covered quite efficiently. However, since it is a regular wear medium coverage powder, very dark spots will not be camouflaged totally. The powder is very fine and soft and has a tendency to get splattered around the pan. I would suggest using a brush rather than the applicator to get the maximum out of it. However this fineness enables the powder to give a naturally glowing skin. It stays beautifully glowing for a very long time.  If you are out in the sun, you may need to reapply after 4-5 hours. But the matte complexion it gives is just perfect for daily wear. The shades of the Oriflame The One Illuskin Powder looks very light in the pan. However, once you apply on the skin, the real color can be seen.

Light


Medium

Dark

First when I saw the Dark shade in the pan I thought it would be perfect for my wheatish skin tone. However, after applying it, I could understand that it was quite dark than my natural complexion. So, I applied the Medium, and found that it is the perfect one for me, although it appears quite lighter in the pan.

Cons: 1. Tendency to fall out around the pan2. The shades look lighter in the pan so it is best to try out before selecting3. Can be a bit drying for dry skin
