Organic Rosehip Seed Oil // Skincare

By Bria

Organic Rosehip Seed Oil is full of fatty acids, vitamin A and vitamin C. It's been known to treat scarring on the skin such as keloids, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, fade hyper pigmentation and soothe dermatitis. Basically an all over skin wonder.
Rosehip seed oil can be classified as a 'dry oil' in that it sinks into the skin rather quickly and does not leave a greasy film over top of the skin. This is oil is non-comedogenic, it won't clog up your pores,  which is great for acne-prone skin like my own.
Recently I've added Rosehip Seed Oil into my daily skincare routine. I've definitely noticed a difference, a lot of my pigmentation that I've had for years is softening and fading! I've also notice that even in my areas where I don't have leftover scarring and I had thought were clear, it looks brighter and more even. I've been diligently adding 4-6 drops of rosehip oil into my moisturizer morning and evening.
I can't speak to its anti-aging properties because thankfully I haven't had any wrinkles set in. I do have some fine lines under my eyes but seeing as I was born with them I think they are here to stay. ;)
I wholeheartedly recommend giving this facial oil a try, especially for people suffering with acne scarring, but also for anyone trying to get even toned skin.
The one con I found about this oil in my research was it's short shelf life of 6 months and it's very important to keep it in the refrigerator or and dark cool space as in with most oils. I don't think your should let its short shelf life dissuade you from purchase as it as a very low selling price from most brands. Also with daily use I think you will use up a lot of the oil in 6 months time. Aside from adding drops into your facial moisturizer you can add into other things like your hand cream, body butter, foot cream and even onto your hair as a pre blow dry serum.
My oil came from Better Shea Butter you can purchase it HERE from Amazon.com for only $12.75
