Brighton based sextet Opus Kink is a band that brings a mix the best of Madness and The Levellers with a seasoning of jazz, punk and funk. Their debut EP 'Til The Stream Runs Dry is a set of loosely connected short stories set to music: a passive-aggressive love story (I Love You, Baby), boxers hoping for glory (Dog Stay Down), a disgruntled veteran (The Unrepentant Soldier).

The anger reaches a peak in the sprawling title track, wherein the jazz age meets progressive ska, with all band members singing "I will be happy" at the top of their lungs in a way that they will maw down anyone who gets in their way. Recommended if you like Ian Dury at his most hectic.

'Til The Stream Runs Dry is released via Nice Swan Records (vinyl, digital).
