On Doing Your Own Thing

If the last 4 years have proven anything, it's that most people will just gladly give up critical thinking and blindly conform with peer pressure and societal expectation's without any regard for the bigger picture or their future just because it's convenient and easy and what everyone else is doing. While it can be difficult, lonely and tiring to do your own thing, it can also be rewarding if you can overcome judgment and pressure. Trust that living in a way that aligns with your moral values especially when you know in your heart that you're doing what's right is better for your conscience and mental health than lying to yourself. It will eventually pay off and probably even improve your quality of life down the line. There’s a certain freedom to not caring what others think.
