NYC Sun 'n' Bronze Bronzing Powder 'Montauk Bronze'

By Maybeitsmeganleigh

The NYC Sun 'n' Bronze bronzer range consists of four shades, I own the darkest shade 'Montauk Bronze'.
All four of the powders have three rows of different bronze shades displayed across the pan. When swirled together they create a variety of bronze hues, from a light peachy tan to a deeper red based tan....the latter being Montauk Bronze.'Montauk Bronze' has the tiniest amount of shimmer in it, that can be seen in the pan & when swatched on the hand. So when I first tried this bronzer a couple of months ago I wasn't holding out much hope, as I always opt for a totally matte bronzer thinking that this will give me a more natural finish. Luckily enough I was  pleasantly surprised by the finish of the powder when applied to my face, no sparkling disco ball effect but a subtle natural glow.
This bronzer is definitely not the most pigmented, but (& I know this may sound odd) that is the reason I like it so much. When dusted over my face with a big fluffy brush It leaves me with a subtle luminous glow that my other more pigmented matte bronzers just can't do for me.
The staying power isn't amazing, it will last me about three hours before I start to see the color fading. However I don't mind touching up since I like the color & the effect it gives to my skin.
The packaging is pretty basic & reminds me of my other favorite bargain powder Rimmel stay matte, with its black base & clear lift off lid.
Over all this is a great bargain bronzer for a natural bronzed glow costing just £2.99 & I will most definitely be repurchasing.
