The Reason She Dressed
Isn’t this new mom great!? We’re talking a few months post-partum and she is already out on the town! I spotted her coming out of one of my favorite Cafè’s in Modena the Mon Cafè. I’ll be doing a little profile on this great spot tomorrow.
She was out on a family date with her new baby and husband. And, if I do say so myself, I’m getting quite good at spotting this great looking mommies and approaching them. You may remember a while ago I mentioned “creepy blogger vibe”, whereby Italians generally distrust people with cameras, people who claim to be bloggers and in general anyone who compliments them! So I’m really happy to say that 1 in every 4 moms lets me take their picture!!
No kidding! I see way more stylish women than I can post because sometimes I get told that they aren’t interested in having their picture taken….fair enough. Usually it is their boyfriend / owner who tells me not to take their picture.
A few weeks ago, I was in the mall and saw this great young mom in a discount clothing store. She was wearing a faux fur vest, had full-on makeup and some really cute boots. I explained the blog and said I would love to take her picture and she LOVED THE IDEA. She was so flattered, and then her unibrow, trollesque boyfriend came and said “NO PICTURES!” and pulled her away! She was WAY too pretty for him, so maybe he was worried that a much more pleasant and attractive man would see her picture and make her his bride….. Hehehe, oops.
What She Wore
She found her artisan earrings in a boutique in Sassuolo, another historic city near Modena. Her coat is from the brand Cucù Lab, by designer Alessandra Saccani. Completely Made in Italy, this brand is pretty famous in and around Modena for their fantastic Italian fabrics and original designs.
