Trying out New Generation Chemical peels from Ekseption Medical
Chemical Peel, a technique used to improve and smooth the texture of the skin. If used correctly, chemical peels could even work better than laser treatments. Recently, I was invited by Xmedicimports to the aesthetic chemical peel training event held for aestheticians in Singapore to try out I was excited to attend the event, having the privilege to try out and experience the new generation peels from Ekseption medical.
Ekseption products are pharmaceutical grade and made in Spain. They are ISO certified and products are free from endotoxins which most products contain. Their strict filtration process are among the top in the industry where only 2 other manufacturers in the world match. These make Ekseption products a staple in many clinics internationally, even in leading beauty market like Korea. The chemical peel course was conducted by Xmedicimports Training Academy, the only authorised training academy for Ekseption medical in asia.
During the event, I met two lovely bloggers featured in the photo - Serene of Xavvy-licious and Sowmya of My Fusion World.

Aestheticians from various clinics and salon were trained to perform a detailed patient assessment, to understand the history and lifestyle of the patient and to examine their skin condition and to understand their concern. The group that I was assigned to was from Spa esprit.
The aestheticians were also taught in-depth on chemical peel types, the skin anatomy, the characteristic and strength of various acids, stages of skin wounding, proper patient evaluation and the proper selection of peels for different patient.
Chemical Peel Course Training Session
The training session continues with a demonstration from the trainer, she taught on the proper applicator tools to use for different consistency of the chemical acids and how to properly condition the skin for the peel. The application method and technique were also meticulously explained. She also touched on the pH for acids, neutralizer and products that are so important when performing a good chemical peel procedure. The aesthetician also learned on the techniques to perform different peels like oil-based, water-based, or alcohol-based peels which requires much different approach.
There are so many different types of chemical peel suitable for people of different skin types. It is interesting to learn about most of them.

Cleansing our faces with Ekseption Salicylic Powder
After the demonstration, it's time for the aestheticians to practice on performing the peels
We had prepared our face cleansing with Ekseption Salicylic Powder cleanser. This facial foaming powder helps cleanse and exfoliate the skin at the same time, removing the dirt and grime and leaving the skin osft and breathable. It is also preservative, sulphate and PEG free, and have an excellent ecological profile.
This botanical-based brightening exfoliator without harsh ingredients helps brighten and even skin tone without chemical abrasives. The natural papaya enzymes work to eliminate dry, dull surface cells and toxins to reveal a soft and smooth complexion. This mild cleanser suits especially oily acne prone skin or skin that is prone to black and whiteheads. By using this cleanser, it improves the penetration of other treatment products due to the removal of dead surface cells.
Ekseption Salicylic Powder Cleanser
To use this, wet both hands and pour a dime size of powder in a hand. Rub hands together to transform it into a rich and creamy foam in your hands. Massage gently over face and neck for 30-60 seconds. Rinse with lukewarm water, pat dry with a soft towel. This cleanser is scentless and it helps stimulates cellular renewal, for brighter skin; Reduces skin pigmentation and; enlighten the skin tone.
I like how the cleanser is scentless and helps thoroughly remove my mild makeup from my sensitive skin without any skin irritation.
Ferulic Acid Peptide Peel
The ferulic acid peptide peel was performed on my sensitive skin. This superficial peel is used to treat skin ageing and neutralize free radicals. The peel was left for 3 minutes before it was neutralised with an Ekseption Hyaluronic carboxy neutraliser. It was a new experience for me. My skin reached a BOHR effect where I feel a fresh oxygenated sensation. After the peel, the Ekseption ice cream repair cream was applied to hydrate, repair and balance my skin.
The unique thing about the Ferulic acid peptide peel is that although it is a strong anti-oxidant peel, it is gentle and non-drying, giving an immediate glow to the skin. Plus, Ferulic acid has photoprotective properties that help everyone including those that have pigmented skin.
Chemical Peel Review - Ferulic Acid Peptide Peel
At first, I was worried about how the chemical peel would irritate my sensitive skin but it did not. The aestheticians from Spa Esprit Group have over 8 years of experience and they pick up the training fast from the trainer, a skin patch test was done to test for any immediate reaction prior to the actual peel. Overall the peel was very comfortable, it has no irritation or pain. We were also advised on the proper post peel care and the importance of sun protection post peel.
Chemical Peel Before
Before the chemical peel process, my skin felt tight, looked dull and have slight redness on my cheeks.
Chemical Peel After
After the chemical peel process, my skin looks hydrated it was glowing. I look so much healthier in general. The redness on my cheeks has also diminished. I do feel very moisturised afterwards.
Chemical Peel Before After
You can see the obvious difference before and after the Ferulic Acid Peptide Peel. My skin not only look fairer and feel smoother but it was also glowing. I enjoyed the process.
