New Camera Therapy

By Vickilane

My beloved Nikon D90 was in the truck when it rolled down the hill but, according to John, it seems to have escaped unharmed. Nonetheless, it's too unwieldy to have here at the rehab center and I've been suffering camera withdrawal so I ordered myself a little Sony DSC W800, as recommended by my photographer friend Cory.

I hadn't had time to figure out how to do more than turn it on when one of my nice Occupational Therapists offered to wheel me out to take some pictures of the rose bushes that I can see from my window -- just beyond the smoking area.

I have to find the online manual and spend a little more time figuring things out . . .

But it felt good to be outside and taking pictures again.

Some better than others . . . I need to pay attention to focus.

The lighting wasn't great . . .

And I kept inadvertently turning on the flash.

But I think I'm going to enjoy this tiny camera (remember, I don't have a smart phone) as a back up.

I was sorry when it was time to roll back to my room.
