NEBRASKA CORNHUSKERS: Knee-Jerk Reactions (2/19/2012)

- It was very gracious of Illinois to provide Doc’s Nebraska career with it likely last meal
- Speaking of Illinois and food, who brings a muffin pan to a basketball game?

- Was impressed by the effort the football staff put into Junior Day. If they keep up that level of work, they can legitimately challenge Michigan for No. 2 in the conference. No one’s touching Meyer and OSU, so let’s not pretend it could happen.
- There are plenty of disappointed Nebraska baseball fans right now, but Erstad has a fantastic staff, a team trying to find a new identity and is all of two games into the season.
- Somewhere out there yesterday, the serious suggestion that Mike Anderson would be better was made.
- Regardless of Husker baseball's outrageous 0-2 record, Erstad’s got the intestinal fortitude to expect the best out of both himself and his conference. That mentality should be enough to keep most Big Red fans entertained through two more games.
- After reading over about every mock draft there is, Alfonzo Dennard appears Dallas, Detroit or Cincinnati-bound.
- After two months at FAU, Carl Pelini’s managed to alienate high school coaches and loses Marvin Sanders. This experiment’s going to go swimmingly.
- Would it sound too paranoid to suggest that whoever initiated the drug test that took TCU down a few pegs was an Austin grad?
- There it is. An entire piece without mentioning Jeremy Lin.
- Crap.
