If you have trouble swallowing pills, but want to try a cleanse or sleep aid, you want to try Natrol! Natrol makes a cleanse called Cleanse Now, and a sleep aid simply called Melatonin that are both fast dissolve tablets (strawberry flavored). No pill swallowing involved.
Cleanse Now
The Cleanse Now (by Laci Le Beau) helps with occasional constipation, contains a gentle herbal laxative (Senna), and a colon cleansing formula. Senna works by stimulating your bowel to promote waste elimination. It’s recommended to take the Cleanse Now at night so it does not disrupt your daily routine. The bottle comes with 30 tablets, but it’s recommend to only take one tablet a day for 10 days at a time.
Pros:
- Great for people who cannot swallow pills
- Perfect for on-the-go people (since you don’t need water)
- Cleanses your system effectively
Cons:
- I experienced stomach pain a few days into the cleanse. Senna can make abdominal pain worse, so I had to stop taking it after about 5 days. I have a sensitive digestive system, so I don’t think this would happen for most people. But it’s something to watch out for!
Melatonin
The Melatonin is a nighttime sleep aid that is drug-free and non-habit forming. It contains 1 mg of melatonin (you can also get it in 3, 5, and 10 mg), which helps to relieve occasional sleeplessness. It helps to establish normal sleep patterns. The bottle contains 90 tablets, and you take one 20 minutes prior to bedtime. I personally really liked this product!
Pros:
- Fast dissolve tablet, which is great for people who cannot swallow pills
- Contains only melatonin, so it is non-habit forming
- Helps with sleeplessness
Cons:
- Not recommended for those with soy, wheat, or corn allergies
- Not recommended for those with autoimmune disorders, depressive disorders, or pregnant or lactating women
Overall, I was pleased with these two products and would definitely recommend them!
- Do you take any type of cleanse or sleep aid?
- What have been your experiences with this?
Disclosure: I received a free bottle of Cleanse Now and a free bottle of Melatonin in the hopes that I would mention it on my blog. I only review products that I would personally use or believe would benefit my readers. Therefore, all opinions are 100% my own.
